We use computers in all aspects of our lives…to work, to play and to communicate. Our monitors serve as a portal to that universe. However, more often than not, we try to use our monitor as a message board. We post sticky notes, taped business cards, work codes or our favorite pictures to the side of our monitor. We like to personalize our space and keep those important items in our direct eyesight. However, flat screen monitors lacked a feasible, practicable and an esthetically pleasing means of holding those important messages, pictures, business cards, notes and general reminders for the user, without making physical alterations; usually permanent and/or damaging to the monitor. However, iconic tsunami’s own John Wagenhoffer identified and solved that problem…the FACEMATE® monitor accessory was born.

John’s inspiration for the FACEMATE® monitor accessory came out of necessity. “[Before FACEMATE®]Current systems/devices are virtually non-existent and those that are available are unsightly, impracticable and/or they require some type of permanent fixture to the monitor. Those systems/devices all require hooks, permanent tape, glue, screws or other such means, all of which either damage or permanently alter your monitor.” The FACEMATE® monitor accessory materialized because we were all faced with that problem. It’s a need because it is practical, feasible and an esthetically pleasing means to personalize and organize your space.

The FACEMATE® monitor accessory is simplistic in concept, yet revolutionary in design. The product has undergone ten tooling phases; as well as continuing market research and consumer response from both live and virtual markets in a variety of segments and spanning many demographics.

The  FACEMATE® product is a one piece design, which is made of durable rubber/silicone elastomer(s), which stretches over the corners of your monitor and hugs its plastic framing like a skin. Its inner bands have raised ridges or “teeth” which help add friction to secure items. FACEMATE® unique patented design will now allow you to hold those important messages, photographs, business cards, notes and general reminders against the front of your flat screen monitor’s sides; keeping them in direct eyesight and without impairing the view of the flat screen…practical functionality while being aesthetically pleasing for customization. Currently, the  FACEMATE® monitor accessory will be available in flat screen monitor sizes 17” to 20” (Standard) and 20” to 24” (Letterbox). Initial colors available will be Reflex Blue, Pink, and Black. Future production runs will incorporate variations of different colors, affiliate licensing and expansion of laptop and mini-notebooks.
